What changed

Tsuru Reef is a new island-chain map mixing luxury bungalows, tropical vegetation, cliffs, and surrounding ocean. The official post describes it as Battlefield 6’s largest all-out battleground and says every mode is supported. Land and air vehicles remain present, but naval combat is a central part of the layout.

REDSEC’s Ranked Battle Royale returns with a competitive leaderboard and new permanent rewards. The season also introduces dynamic waves. The changing ocean surface affects navigation and can disrupt lines of sight, making water conditions an active part of marine engagements.

Two naval vehicles join the sandbox. The 7.7-meter NSW RHIB is a fast machine-gun boat, while the armored RCB-90 patrol boat is intended for heavier coastline assaults. Weapon additions are the EF88 bullpup assault rifle for mid-to-long range, the adaptable BROD 3 carbine for close quarters, and the suppressed, subsonic VSSM marksman rifle, which can also fire automatically.

Key changes

Map and modes

  • Tsuru Reef supports all modes across an island and ocean battlefield.
  • Ranked Battle Royale returns with leaderboard progression and permanent rewards.
  • Dynamic waves change movement and visibility on the water.
  • The NSW RHIB and RCB-90 add light and armored naval roles.

Weapons

  • EF88, BROD 3, and VSSM cover different range and stealth profiles.

What this means for players

Season 4 expands naval play from simple vehicle availability into a map and wave system designed around water movement. Ranked Battle Royale players also receive a fresh leaderboard and reward track rather than a purely casual return.

Who is affected

All Tsuru Reef modes, REDSEC Battle Royale squads, vehicle users, and players using the three new weapons are directly covered. The source gives no platform or region split.

Rollout and known limitations

The official post says the season is live but supplies no download size, staged rollout, or known-issue list.

Editorial context

Steam Update Radar assessment: Tsuru Reef, dynamic waves, and the two boat classes form one coherent naval update. Marketing descriptions of weapon roles are attributed to the official post rather than treated as comparative performance tests.
