The registry is intentionally conservative. A domain can support discovery, but each article still requires a direct official update URL.

Accepted source hierarchy

Official Steam game news or announcement pages.
Developer- or publisher-controlled patch note pages.
Authenticated developer announcements that link back to an official record.

Currently configured production sources

Steam official game news — store.steampowered.com (/news/app/)

The visible demo articles use example.com and are explicitly excluded from production verification.

What is not sufficient

Search snippets, wikis, fan databases, social reposts, video summaries, and unattributed screenshots are not accepted as primary evidence.
