What changed

Thebes joins the map rotation with Apocalypse’s Pyramid and the Temple of Khonshu on opposite sides of a desert and oasis arena. The official description frames the map around Egyptian ruins and Celestial technology but does not state a mode restriction.

The Esports tab gains subscriptions for tournaments, teams, and professional players. A calendar shows schedules, standings, brackets, and historical match records, while optional notifications announce when a subscribed match goes live.

Blood Hunt adds gear enhancement for higher stats and gear refining to reroll selected attributes. Enemies can drop Dew of Insight, which grants an immediate EX burst to a chosen hero. Nightmare difficulty extends to Floor 300, with a one-time 100 Units reward per hero for clearing Floor 260. Blood Hunt double XP runs through October 5 at 09:00 UTC, and the mode itself through October 9 at the same time.

Enhancement applies to existing gear rather than requiring a replacement item, while refining targets specific attributes so a loadout can be adjusted toward a chosen hero build. Dew of Insight is earned from combat drops and is spent on the hero selected by the player. The Floor 260 reward limit is per hero, so the official note does not describe it as an unlimited repeat reward.

The update also adds a setting to disable Team-Up visual effects locally, either globally or per hero; other players still see them. Fixes address spectator UI after consecutive knockouts, Punisher Culling Turret ammunition display, and incorrect weapon assets on selected costumes.

The spectator issue occurred when a defeated player watched another hero who was then also knocked out, producing interface problems when the original player revived. Punisher’s fix is limited to the ammunition count shown in the lower-left while Culling Turret is active. The costume correction applies to incorrect weapon assets on some Angela, Daredevil, and Gambit outfits.

What this means for players

The patch adds both a new core play space and a longer Blood Hunt progression path. Players sensitive to visual clutter gain local control over Team-Up effects without changing the information visible to opponents or teammates.

The separate Blood Hunt dates mean double experience ends four days before the mode itself. Players who continue between October 5 and October 9 retain access to the mode under the announced schedule but not the extended double-XP bonus.

Who is affected

The official note names Blood Hunt players, Esports followers, users of the Team-Up effects setting, Punisher players, spectators, and owners of the affected Angela, Daredevil, and Gambit costumes.

Rollout and known limitations

The patch was scheduled for July 23 at 09:00 UTC with no server downtime. Store bundles and Twitch Drops in the same post are promotional and are not treated as core gameplay changes here.

Editorial context
