What changed

The Version 2.0 follow-up is a large balance and systems update. It adjusts numerous Paths including Bellstrike, Silkbind, Stonesplit, and Bamboocut variants. Changes affect talent triggers, damage, status duration, resource returns, resistance interaction, attuning affixes, critical behavior, and how individual martial arts chain under latency.

Bellstrike - Umbra gains a longer Soul-Shaken duration, simpler application through Sober Sorrow, and fewer consecutive strikes to trigger Wine Gu. Strategic Sword’s Bleeding and High Bleeding receive baseline Qi damage with additional synergy from Soul-Shaken, while Sword Horizon can extend several damage-over-time effects against non-player targets.

Silkbind - Jade merges two Vernal Umbrella damage affixes for new Tier 96 gear and adds a separate light, heavy, and varied-combo affix. Resource refund rules are extended to Exhausted bosses, projectile effects gain resistance penetration, and Blossom Barrage shifts one bonus from critical damage to direct critical rate. The Panacea Fan and Soulshade Umbrella pairing also gains a rule preventing Mystic Skill abrasion when both are equipped.

Stonesplit changes scale Thundercry Blade’s physical-attack conversion with Martial Arts Breakthrough instead of a fixed cap, replace an overcapping critical-rate talent, and extend Exquisite Scenery’s Cadence duration and stacks. Snowparting Blade receives high-latency chaining work and new exhausted-boss interactions. Bamboocut adjustments cover Infernal Twinblades chaining, Perfect Dodge duration, Mortal Rope Dart damage and scaling, Everspring Umbrella damage, and Phantom Rally’s instant-cast resource.

Arena networking receives a new reverse hit-validation system for high-latency attackers. When the server confirms that a defender was in dodge invulnerability at the strike time, the damage is negated. The update also addresses delayed Vernal Umbrella hits and teleport-like displacement around Snowparting Blade. Arena flow changes cover sprint-to-dash delay, faster melee dash skills, more reliable rapid Deflection, revised light-attack and charged-skill timing, Tenacity behavior, pulling, stagger, and defense interactions.

The Arena list also adjusts sword and spear light-attack interrupt points, charged tiers for Inkwell Fan, Hidden Sword behavior when paired with Panacea Fan, several Thundercry Blade follow-ups, and the timing of Tenacity on multiple charged attacks. Some control effects become Break Defense against targets actively defending with Tenacity, and the interface permanently exposes passive control-removal progress alongside Tenacity and Super Armor state.

Gear development adds Tuning Reset for eligible Tier 100 Epic and Legendary gear through Modulating Stones. The reset preserves only initial attributes, has per-item attempt limits and cooldowns, does not refund materials, and is irreversible. It excludes Archery Arts, Relaid Gear, Swallowcall gear, and Tier 91 or lower equipment. Quick Add, large-stone splitting, favorites, clearer cap indicators, and a reduction of Retuning Correction cooldown from seven to five days are also included.

Modulating Stones are obtained as a bonus when recycling or consuming fully tuned Legendary gear, with the stated exclusions. They can also modulate Relaid Gear by a guaranteed 4.5% step toward an attribute’s maximum. Large Tuning Stones can be split into ten smaller stones of the same tier, and Common Items receive a higher favorite limit.

Interface and bug work consolidates Sect activities, improves Homestead loading, and fixes merchant limits, quest guidance, controller reward selection, event displays, Martial Art effects, and an unobtainable Hexi Trial reward. A limited PS5 font test is explicitly not a general rollout.

Additional fixes correct Donkey Express guidance, Donkey Ride controller reward selection, text tied to a Martial Art visual effect, Scarlet Spin Arena Attuning, the Ties that Bind event screen, and purchase limits at the Training Ground Specialty Merchant. These are grouped as repairs rather than new features.

Key changes

Combat and balance

  • Multiple Paths receive changes to damage, buffs, debuffs, talents, rotations, and attuning.
  • High-latency casting and chained attacks are improved for several martial arts.

Arena and network

  • Server validation recognizes defender dodge invulnerability.
  • Hit registration, displacement, Deflection, dash, pull, stagger, and control behavior is revised.

Gear progression and interface

  • Eligible Tier 100 gear can be reset with strict cost, cooldown, and eligibility rules.
  • Material selection, stone splitting, favorites, cap display, and navigation are improved.
  • Sect and Homestead interfaces receive usability or performance work.

What this means for players

Builds using the named Paths may need to account for different triggers, caps, durations, and resource loops. Arena outcomes should align more closely with server-confirmed dodges and positions, especially under latency. Gear reset provides another optimization route, but it consumes prior work without refund and cannot be undone.

The practical effect varies sharply by build: healers, damage-over-time paths, charged-attack paths, and Arena specialists receive different rule changes. The official source does not declare one universal best build, so this article reports the revised mechanics without ranking them.

Who is affected

Arena players, Online Mode boss players, users of the named martial arts and Inner Ways, and owners of eligible Tier 100 gear are directly affected. Only a limited group of PS5 players receives the experimental font.

Rollout and known limitations

Tuning Reset excludes several gear groups, has attempt limits and cooldowns, and is irreversible. The PS5 font is a small-scale test. The older 1.8 Training Terrace fixes are superseded by this broader 2.0 state rather than published separately.
