At a glance

  • Fixes network-client seating, Garbird state, storage destruction, treasure display, collision, and general reliability problems.
  • Repairs vehicle, tutorial, storage-bin, controller, split-screen, seating, worker, and collection defects.
  • Changes zone camera movement and the default keyboard control for the crafting minigame.
  • Improves recipe requirements, crafting alerts, and construction-site storage colours in the interface.

Player impact

Online and split-screen players receive the largest set of repairs, while solo towns gain clearer storage information, more predictable build-menu navigation, corrected spawning, and workers that can collect items while using tools.

What changed

Hotfix 1.0.25992 concentrates on multiplayer state and interactions that could diverge between the host and other players. Network clients can stand after sitting in a mushroom chair, see Garbird feather state changes, and avoid errors when a storage bin is destroyed or enters construction while they are inspecting it. The update also fixes a menu timing problem when a client pauses, invisible collision for client players, and several broader network stability and reliability issues.

Treasure handling receives a specific online repair. When a remote co-op client removes treasure from a display, that item should remain available for placement instead of disappearing from the client’s choices. The patch also corrects a rebuy requirement that could incorrectly demand the EgoTech app in co-op.

The general bug-fix pass covers controller prompts, split-screen disposal confirmation, invincible weather-event Garbirds, vehicles that spawned into the Courier Garage and became undrivable, storage-bin interactions, camera reset settings, tutorial placement, collection entries, seats that could not be removed after a cinematic, and one player moving another player’s map. Workers carrying fishing rods, drills, or chainsaws can now pick up items from the ground.

Spawn and collection rules change as well. Industry flavour buildings are removed from the collections app. Some bug-treasure terrain rules are updated, missing sewer and cave spawns are repaired, and selected bug and fish spawn windows are made longer.

Key changes

Multiplayer

  • Network clients can stand after using a mushroom chair and see Garbird feather state changes.
  • Storage-bin destruction or construction no longer produces the named client errors.
  • Remote treasure placement, invisible collision, pause-menu timing, and general network reliability receive fixes.
  • Split-screen vehicle and treasure disposal confirmation is corrected.

Gameplay and controls

  • Workers using fishing rods, drills, or chainsaws can collect ground items.
  • The build menu no longer jumps the camera to a selected zone automatically; a prompted button performs that jump on demand.
  • The default keyboard binding for the crafting minigame changes from 1 to F.
  • Spawn rules and time windows are adjusted for specified bugs, fish, and bug treasures.

Interface and presentation

  • Construction-site storage colours are corrected.
  • Fitout alerts turn green when enough of an item is available to craft at least once.
  • The storage menu shows every item required by a recipe in its right-hand panel.
  • The JoeBenny track “Sunshine” is marked as not streamer safe.

What this means for players

The practical effect is a more consistent town state across host, online-client, and split-screen play. Storage, treasure displays, seats, vehicles, Garbirds, and menus have fewer paths where one player can see or enter a different state from another.

Solo play also benefits from clearer recipe information, corrected tutorial and collection data, tool-equipped workers that can retrieve items, and a build-menu camera that moves only when requested.

Who is affected

Online co-op clients, split-screen groups, controller and keyboard users, and towns using storage bins, display treasures, workers, vehicles, construction sites, fishing, or bug collecting are explicitly represented in the notes.

Rollout and known limitations

The official post does not state a separate platform rollout, save migration requirement, rollback option, or known unresolved issue. The broader network fixes are not described individually, so this article does not infer additional repaired scenarios.

Editorial context

Steam Update Radar assessment: this is a focused reliability update rather than a content expansion. Its main value is the number of concrete multiplayer and town-interaction states it repairs after the earlier 1.0.25917 hotfix.
