At a glance

  • Fixes fuel dumping after rocket boosters and fuel display for the J-22M1A drop tank.
  • Repairs multi-vehicle SAM reload state, radar-screen camera movement, and spawn-screen radar presets.
  • Expands vegetation clearance at Nuclear Escalation airfields and adjusts corvette anti-aircraft settings.
  • Fixes hit analysis, map trees, curved-surface decorators, achievement eligibility, and hangar decorator state.

Player impact

Aircraft and ground-vehicle crews receive fixes to fuel, aiming, turret, missile, armor-analysis, and radar behavior. Nuclear Escalation pilots gain clearer airfield surroundings and a revised corvette defense interaction for anti-ship missiles.

What changed

Version 2.57.1.50 fixes several aircraft-specific problems. Fuel dumping works after rocket boosters have been used, the J-22M1A’s drop-tank fuel is separated from its main-tank display with the appropriate timer, and the Ju 388 J third-person crosshair no longer disappears or appears in the wrong position.

Ground-vehicle changes address turret movement, missile loading, armor analysis, and radar controls. A fully lowered gun should no longer make a turret move horizontally in jerks when the gun is not actually blocking rotation. Multi-vehicle surface-to-air missile systems now retain the correct missile type when a player changes the launcher selection and switches to the radar vehicle before reloading finishes.

The hit-analysis menu once again highlights armor elements struck by a shell in the affected cases. The patch also removes commander-camera movement that could occur while opening or closing radar controls on systems such as the HQ11.

Nuclear Escalation receives two direct adjustments. The vegetation-free area around airfields is larger, and corvette anti-aircraft settings are changed to make the vessels easier to hit with anti-ship missiles. The official note does not provide additional values for either change.

Interface and environment fixes restore preset radar-mode changes on the spawn screen for affected aircraft and remove trees floating above cliffs in the Assault version of Rocky Pillars. Customization work repairs decorator deformation on strongly curved surfaces and a hangar state where decorators could remain suspended after switching to the Israeli vehicle tree without an eligible crew-slot vehicle.

Key changes

Aircraft

  • Fuel dumping is restored after rocket-booster use.
  • J-22M1A drop-tank fuel appears separately from the main fuel supply.
  • The Ju 388 J third-person crosshair is repaired.

Ground vehicles and interface

  • Fully depressed guns no longer trigger the specified horizontal turret jerking.
  • Multi-vehicle SAM launchers keep the intended missile type across the named launcher-to-radar switch.
  • Hit analysis highlights struck armor elements in the affected cases.
  • Spawn-screen radar preset selection and commander-camera behavior receive fixes.

Nuclear Escalation and missions

  • Airfields have a larger vegetation-free perimeter.
  • Corvette anti-aircraft behavior is adjusted for anti-ship missile attacks.
  • Floating trees are removed from cliffs in [Assault] Rocky Pillars.

Customization and achievements

  • Curved-surface decorator deformation and a hanging-decorator hangar bug are fixed.
  • Three decals move into their corresponding national vehicle categories.
  • Centauro II (P) is added to the eligible vehicles for the “Invincible Centauro Italian Tanker” tasks.

What this means for players

The update removes several control and information mismatches: fuel, crosshairs, missile selection, armor feedback, radar presets, and commander-camera position should now reflect the intended state in the situations named by the developer.

For Nuclear Escalation, the official changes affect visibility around airfields and the interaction between corvette defenses and anti-ship missiles. No broader balance conclusion is stated or inferred.

Who is affected

Players using the J-22M1A, Ju 388 J, multi-vehicle SAMs, the HQ11 or similar radar-control layouts, anti-ship missiles in Nuclear Escalation, hit analysis, decorators, the Rocky Pillars Assault mission, or the named Centauro achievement task are explicitly affected.

Rollout and known limitations

Gaijin states that its patch notes cover key changes and may not include every improvement. The official post does not state a separate platform schedule, save-data requirement, or rollback option.

Editorial context

Steam Update Radar assessment: 2.57.1.50 is the latest endpoint after 2.57.1.48, but it is best read as a focused correction pass. The Nuclear Escalation items are adjustments to the current mode rather than a replacement for the wider earlier update sequence.
